Playing around....

I recently signed up for the Tim Holtz Creative Chemistry 101 classes that he is offering....they are amazing!  Since watching all the episodes, I have felt the need to create some things that are "outside" my normal crafting sphere.  Here is a card that I created using some Glitz patterned paper, Maya Road mini tickets and journaling tag, Riff Raff laser cut key shape and We R Memory Keepers Cameo as well as a little chipboard stamp from Bo Bunny. I cut out the large frame using my cricket.

I created the flowers using the Tim Holtz pinecone die cut.  It's original use if to make pinecones, but there are some great tutorials out there that show you how to make them into flowers instead!  So - I have been flowering making for two days and loving the results.  I find that I am getting better at is I practice as they are a bit difficult to work with.  The key is to mist your pinecone shape with a bit of water to make it more pliable....this has made all the difference for me!
I also sprayed the Riff Raff laser cut key with some Tattered Angels Glimmer mist to make it look a bit more vintage.  I didn't put a sentiment on the card just yet...I'm waiting to see what I will need it for and then put the saying on then.
This card is not outside of my box/crafting sphere but I am prepping some tags and other cards to show you soon - stay tuned!!!
TFL!

  2. How cool that you signed up for a Tim Holtz class! I often admire his work but I don't think I could ever manage to make something like that. But you are rocking it! Beautiful card!
