Have you been over to the My Minds Eye blog lately? They have their first challenge up of the year! The theme was "new" so I came up with this card - New Beginnings! I thought this would be great for someone that is starting out a wonderful new journey or challenge! I used the Kraft Funday line that is soooo great! Probably the best kraft colored paper I've ever seen.
Here is my take on the LO challenge. Again, the theme was "new". I flipped the sketch around and used a picture of my little guy with his feet hanging out of the crib when he was sleeping!!! It was the cutest thing I had seen him do while sleeping! I was able to move him without him even waking up! Again I used the same line, Kraft Funday. Instead of using circles, I used the negative where I cut circles out of a pp. I love that you can see the background through the cut outs. I alcohol inked the plastic letters for "new"...not sure where they came from as I have had these for years!
Here's to a great weekend for scrapping and crafting!
Jody

ReplyDeleteHi I just wanted to let you know that the MME site says: "Please include your first and LAST name." I am not affiliated with their site, but I didn't want you to miss out on a technicality. I had to go back and change mine also. Love Penny Scrap-aholic@blogspot.com

I just visited MME and I found your creation on my best picked card. I love how you managed to stack in a lot of items in a small canvass without making it look too much. The design is just beautiful and clean. Congratulations ofr being one of the winners of MME Jody.
