This sketch really was challenging for me! I always enjoy little envelopes and pockets to put gift cards, etc within it, however a whole envelope on the front???!!! Yup - and I love how it turned out! Here is the awesome sketch....
And here is my take on it....
I embossed the Maya Road envelope with the Maggie Holmes Crate Paper doily embossing folder and then lightly inked it with some Tim Holtz Distress Ink. I then found some really old Tattered Angel gold glaze and went over the embossed images with a paintbrush to make them shiny and a bit two-toned in color. I added some stitching (of course!) and two Tim Holtz gears in place of the original round thingys (don't know what they are called) :) so that you can open and close the envelope. The leaves were cut with my Cameo using some Basic Grey paper. I love how it turned out and hope someone special will too!
