Scrap & Play Challenge #3!

I've always loved playing Bingo - evan as an adult we play every once in a while at my mom's with the kids - she has this bag full of goodies and always makes sure all the grandkids win at least one prize of their choice :)  So when this challenge came up at Scrap & Play - it reminded me so much playing with my family!!!

For the challenge, you need to pick a line in any direction and create a project using all the items listed in that row!  Really - you could have a black out and use all the items if you are up to it ;)

Here is the challenge...

And here is my layout using the middle line across...floral patterned paper, enamel dots and Fancy Pants Design products.  I was sad that my Fancy Pants box of goodies didn't ship in time for me to use on this challenge (Canadian boarder always holds things up!), so I used the On Trend line that was released last year.  I love the colors and really had yet to put it to good use on any type of project!  I was so happy to finally play with it here!

Make sure to head on over to the Scrap & Play blog and link up your projects using Challenge #3 for your chance to win a fabulous prize from Fancy Pants Designs!

P.S. - when I finally got my goodies - Canada post put a big hole right through everything - every single piece of paper was damaged!  I've come to terms with it however as everything is still useable and awesome as ever!  Can't wait to play around with it and create my next project for Scrap & Play!

Cardabilities Sketch #100 Reveal!

This sketch really was challenging for me!  I always enjoy little envelopes and pockets to put gift cards, etc within it, however a whole envelope on the front???!!!  Yup - and I love how it turned out!  Here is the awesome sketch....

And here is my take on it....

I embossed the Maya Road envelope with the Maggie Holmes Crate Paper doily embossing folder and then lightly inked it with some Tim Holtz Distress Ink.  I then found some really old Tattered Angel gold glaze and went over the embossed images with a paintbrush to make them shiny and a bit two-toned in color.  I added some stitching (of course!) and two Tim Holtz gears in place of the original round thingys (don't know what they are called)  :)  so that you can open and close the envelope.  The leaves were cut with my Cameo using some Basic Grey paper.  I love how it turned out and hope someone special will too!  The saying is from Pickled Potpourri Designs which is our sponsor for this reveal!

Head on over to the Cardabilities blog here and link up your cards for a chance to be featured or to win a prize from Pickled Potpourri Designs.

Struggling....

Oh blogger....where have I been?  The days are just not long enough it seems....

I'm sorry that I haven't been around here much...again, the days are just not long enough.

I haven't really been scrapping, crafting or creating anything these past weeks.  I did, however, manage to buy a new paper rack which then led to revamping and cleaning out my scrap room.  Hopefully this will light a spark to get the creative juices flowing.

One card is all I managed recently.  I used a monochromatic take on the card, trying to use various shades of white and mint greens.  I also used the flower die cut from Tim Holtz Alterations, however my Vegabond has been dying on me lately...needless to say not a ton of help from Sizzix :(  That is for another post.....

I will try, try, try to post more over the summer...granted we have a lot planned for this summer....

Take care everyone - miss you all!
